Senator threatened to boycott “Eurovision” in case of non-admission Samoilova

Russia will boycott the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, if the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) really prohibits the entry of Russian participant of the contest by Julia Samoilova into the country, Senator Oleg Morozov told RIA Novosti.

Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Gritsak said on Monday that the agency had prepared a document on the ban on entry into the country Samoilova.

“I do not want this decision to take place, it’s too absurd, but if it’s really accepted, Russia will boycott Eurovision, we have no other choice” Morozov said.

According to him, Russia will not change the participant due to the decision of the Security Service. “Changing the participant due to this insane decision is a defeatist behavior,” the parliamentarian is convinced.

He did not rule out that the statement of the Security Service is only a “political game”.

“But if this is a conscious decision, then Russia simply does not have any other choice,” Morozov said.
