Figure skater Medvedeva won the world championship, having updated two world records

Russian Eugene Medvedeva at the World Figure Skating Championships in Helsinki has updated the world records set for her in an arbitrary program and the total points, R-Sport reports.

The Russian figure skater received 154.40 points in an arbitrary program and scored only 233.41 points. A similar result brought the athlete gold awards World Championships in Helsinki. The second place was taken by the representative of Canada Caitlin Osmond (218.13), the third was another Canadian Gabriel Dailman (213.52).

Earlier, Medvedev set records at the European Championships in 2017 in Ostrava, then the figure skater scored 150.79 points in an arbitrary program and 229.71 points for the amount of hire.
