March 19, 2015 the newspaper “Izvestia”, citing a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that more than 200 politicians and officials from the EU and US are included in the list of foreign nationals who may be denied entry to the Russian Federation. These citizens of EU countries are banned from entry into Russia. The list includes representatives of 17 of the 27 EU countries. The fifth part of the list are occupied by representatives of Poland (18 names), followed by the British (9), Sweden, Estonia (8), Germany, Lithuania (7), Latvia and Romania (5).

June 24 issued a decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin to extend by a year of special economic measures against the West, introduced by presidential decree of August 6, 2014. Action responses was extended from August 6 2015 to August 5, 2016.

July 29 signed a presidential decree on waste embargoed products, which entered into force on 6 August 2015.

August 13 Russia circulated a food embargo imposed in retaliation for sanctions on Albania, Montenegro, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Ukraine, and the last with a delay – a ban on imports of its products had come into force only in the case of Kiev, the economic part of the agreement the association with the EU.

December 21 the Russian government issued a resolution on the input to the January 1, 2016 for the Ukrainian product of the embargo, similar to those for countries that support sanctions against Russia. June 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin extended the food embargo imposed in response to Western sanctions, to August 6, 2016 on December 31, 2017.

October 22 the Russian government has excluded from the list of prohibited for import of goods from EU countries fry flounder, turbot, sea bass and ordinary Bilonog juvenile shrimp.
