The deputy of the Latvian Saeima, Imants Paradnieks, decided to abandon the use of elevators to “not support the Russian economy,” Sputnik Latvia writes.
“I do not use elevators from the principle, anywhere and never .. I do not do this, because we use the elevators to feed the Russian economy, because we partially buy energy from them,” Paradnieks said.
The deputy did not specify whether he refused from other benefits of civilization to spite Moscow, for example, from Russian gas.
Paradnieks not for the first time attracts the attention of the media with loud statements. Earlier, the deputy expressed his indignation at the fact that in the center of Riga there is a cafe with the sign “Leningrad” – the politician called it “a communistic belch in Cyrillic in a free country.” In addition, Paradnieks is one of the organizers of the procession of SS veterans in the Latvian capital.
